There are many wonderful places to stay and to see in San Antonio if you are traveling alone.
San Antonio is a relatively safe town for its size. If you want to stay in the downtown area, hotels along the Riverwalk are a great choice. The Riverwalk is lined with dozens of restaurants, a mall and movie theater, bars, clubs and a Starbucks. Some good, affordable hotels to try are the Hyatt Regency San Antonio, Marriott Riverwalk, and Hilton Palacio Del Rio. Also in downtown is the Radisson Market Square, La Mansión del Rio Hotel, a luxurious Spanish Colonial mansion located on the Riverwalk, or the Adam's Mark San Antonio Riverwalk, where you can catch the River Taxi from the hotel.
There are a couple of beautiful resorts in San Antonio. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort has 500 rooms, including 58 suites and is nestled amid groves of live oaks, rolling golf fairways and wild flower meadows. Near the Texas Hill Country is the Westin La Cantera Resort which has 38 luxurious rooms. If you choose accommodations in the Hill Country, you'll be in close proximity to Sea World and Fiesta Texas.
And, if you're traveling solo and are sticking to a budget, try any of the hotels situated near the airport.
